12pm – 1pm: How to identify capabilities that could/should leverage AI to positively impact the business

DAN HEBDA
Chief Strategy Officer at Mega

AI has the potential to shake up the operating methods of companies. Enterprise architecture, which helps companies manage continuous transformation, has begun to integrate AI into a company’s architecture. Organizations can use elements of business architecture to identify the capabilities that could benefit from using artificial intelligence. In this session, Dan Hebda will share two perspectives for understanding how to leverage AI looking at the breadth of AI potential and the depth needed to reach business goals. With the identification of which technologies enable capabilities, organizations can identify opportunities for AI and build the future.

1pm – 2pm: AI: Built to Scale and Compete

2pm – 3pm: Why You Need an AI Center of Excellence to Accelerate Innovation

BEN WRIGHT-JONES
Solution Architect, Microsoft Services – Azure Cloud & AI

Artificial intelligence presents many compelling opportunities, be it in healthcare, manufacturing, or education. Yet, there are many challenges and concerns spanning both technological implementation and responsible application of AI. Interest in the value of an AI Center of Excellence (COE) has grown as many organizations turn to intelligence-driven strategies.

In this session, we propose an AI center of excellence (COE) framework to accelerate innovation through ideation and experimentation whilst also enabling organizations to address their responsible and ethical uses (such as risk of harm, denial of consequential services, and infringement on rights). Using real implementation examples from around the globe, I will share AI Center of Excellence challenges and lessons learned (covering people, process and technology) to help you understand and leverage the business capability to accelerate and govern AI innovation.

3pm – 4pm: Extract Text from Objects Using Cognitive Services

STEVE PUCELIK
Sr Customer Engineer, Microsoft

Using Power Automate, Forms Recognition, Azure Cognitive Services, and an Azure function I’ll show you how to train an AI model to automatically extract text from OCRed schematic images for certain object types (circles/triangles etc) and store the metadata in a SharePoint document library. Once in the SharePoint list we’ll see how to use search techniques to find specific objects in your environment.

7pm – 8pm: Invest in Collaboration, Automate Insights, Prevent Extinction

TANYA STERE
Director of Product

Wildlife preservation is hard work, burdened with limited funds, disparate data sets, and heavy restrictions from universities, organizations, governments, and funders. Preservation of biodiversity, however, can’t wait. At Wild Me, we act as a neutral third party with a single goal: provide support by building conservation communities around shared platforms that leverage AI to reduce processing workload. We bring together those with data and expertise to accelerate discoveries and insights that can shape local and global policies to protect our shared home.

8pm – 9pm: AI Accountability

JOSEPH WILLIAMS
Seattle Director, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

A discussion of what algorithmic accountability in artificial intelligence (AI) is and why the potential for harm is so great yet the solutions are so complex. A discussion framework will be presented that addresses bias in AI data, models, and outcomes. Examples of each will be presented, followed by a high-level overview of how researchers and policy makers are addressing “accountability.” Several legislative efforts at regulation, including the federal Algorithmic Accountability Act of 2019 and California’s AB 13 will be examined.

9pm – 10pm: No code AI/ML Platform

BHAGVAN KOMMADI
Director of Product Engg, ValueMomentum

No code AI/ML platform allows the formation of data analytics with the use of images along with dragging and dropping features. The platform has support for connecting to datasources, data lakes, data warehouses, databases, and social media. enabling the user to share the access of data with anyone in need. Needed functions and attributes can be added to the model and the application without any code. The data can be uploaded, validated, cleansed, and used for training, validation, and testing the model. Prediction of the data and the refinement of the model with new scenarios can be handled in the platform. NLP based analysis can be performed. Different opensource machine learning models can be supported with different inbuilt datasets. Dashboards can be created based on the input data. REST support for the platform API helps in easy integration with different apps. Content types supported are audio, video, image, text, and other file formats. Models to support image classification, audio analysis, body movements are in built in the platform through model support. Forward looking predictive models are created. Semantic segmentation, object detection, motion capture, and other computer vision models are supported in the platform. Annotation tools are part of the AI/ML platform. Multiple models can be executed on the input data and analysis can be done on different models. Data can be edited and what if analysis can be performed. Model precision analysis can be done through ROC curves and confusion matrices. Workflow is another important feature in the No code AI/ML platform.
