JOSEPH WILLIAMS
Seattle Director, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory
Dr. Joseph Williams is the Seattle Director for the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s Seattle Research Center where he also leads its National Security Directorate’s efforts to accelerate innovation. Joseph is a Visiting Fellow at the National Security Institute and was recently an Assembly Fellow at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society.
Previously the technology policy advisor to Washington State’s Governor Inslee, Dr. Williams was also once an executive at Microsoft and dean of the School of Business, Government, and Economics at Seattle Pacific University. His current research efforts are in AI accountability, enterprise quantum computing, and blockchain applications in intergovernmental agreements.
