Sometimes our passion for architecture gets in the way of driving real world outcomes.  We just love doing stuff: debating the finer points of our metamodel, spending our days populating tools with content, crafting sophisticated and insightful diagrams.  This can lead to taking on too many manually intensive activities, resulting in a team that drowns in a sea of modeling and data entry before it has made a valuable contribution to the enterprise.

At Ardoq we’ve learnt from our customers’ experiences, and have developed a sequence of workshops, collectively known as “Evaluate”, that starts with business outcomes that will resonate with your stakeholders and customers and then shapes a value plan to ensure that the architecture team’s efforts are sharply focused on achieving those outcomes.  I’ll share insights into the resulting plans, along with approaches to minimize the manual activities so that the team can devote much more of their energy and passion to driving real world outcomes.
